2014 is bound to be an interesting year. Simply because technology, especially mobile phone technology has been a revolution and we have so much to look forward to.
All the major smart phone companies have announced their plans of 2014 – making it all the more exciting for techies. Here are five of the most keenly awaited Smartphones, expected in 2014:
HTC M8
After the scintillating success of HTC One, HTC M8 is keenly awaited. Many experts say that HTC, the Taiwanese company’s future depends on the phone – as in they can forever cement their place in the Smartphone market by two back-to-back games. You can expect that HTC knows this and they would like to build on their success.
According to some sources, it looks like HTC are again using the aluminum unibodydesign for the M8 that proved such a hit with the HTC One . It is expected to come out in early 2014.
IPhone 6
What list would be complete without Apple’s iPhone making it to the front! It is expected that instead of looking at iPhone 5S’s future, Apple is expected to launch something new, something better and something that will help them regain their stature.
Rumors have it that the iPhone 6 will have a bigger screen, some say it will 4.2 inches, although it would not be very big in size overall. Experts who study Smartphonemarket say that iPhone 6 would be a big seller. The reason for that is that Apple would change iPhone to a certain extent, something they have failed to do with consistency.
Samsung Galaxy S5
It is believed that Samsung will launch the next generation of Galaxy S around April or May. But it is also speculated that an improved version of S4 might be launched before that. Galaxy S5 will have a large screen, 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. It will also have the Snapdragon 800 chip as opposed to the Snapdragon 600 found in the current devices.
Nexus 6
We may have to wait a fair bit of time for the next Nexus. It is reported that it may come out as late as the end of 2014. It will have great specs, latest Android OS, and a sleek design. Continuing its reputation it is likely that the Nexus 6 will provide great value for money.
LG G3
LG is relatively new at the top level Smartphone market, but they are surely rising. LG is all set to launch their latest beauty during the mid of 2014. A 2K screen, 805 Snapdragon, 3GB RAM, 16MP camera – huge specs are expected from G3. Also more likely than not, it will cost less than similar phones of Samsung or HTC with similar specs.
Like mentioned in the beginning, we have a thrilling time ahead of us. The best thing about the year 2014 is that it will most likely even the playing field amongst all majorSmartphone companies – and that is always better for the consumer. De-monopolization has already occurred to some extent and we expect to see it flourish further in 2014.
May you techies have a great year ahead!
